Closing the Loop is a new journal designed to create a safe space for the animal liberation movement to share observations, reflections and ideas on what we can learn to support us in moving forward in achieving social justice for non-humans.
Why: ‘Closing the Loop’ references the action learning cycle, and the need to integrate reflection into the urgent and active movements we operate in, in order to support our learning and become more effective. The UK animal rights movement has experienced heavy repression, internal challenges and is generally not as healthy as it needs to be to meet its aims.
Many ideas and observations exist as to why this has happened and ways forward. Closing the Loop aims to act as a constructive container for these conversations. All the different feedback loops of ideas, opinions and observations can be turned into resources to make our movements more effective.
